2. The Free Survey

We inspect the roof from ladders, scaffold or the roof itself. On Nottingham properties, we know what to look for before we arrive: nail sickness on the Clifton and Bilborough estates, iron nail corrosion on Victorian slates in Sherwood and Mapperley, flat roof ponding on 1930s extensions, chimney mortar failure on exposed Arnold ridge properties. We check every tile, flashing, valley, ridge, chimney, gutter, fascia and soffit. Inside the loft we check rafters, purlins, wall plates and membrane condition. Everything is photographed.

3. Your Written Quote

Within 48 hours of the survey you receive a written quote that itemises every element: scaffold, materials by name and manufacturer, labour, disposal, and any council permits required. The quote explains what needs doing, why, and what happens if you do nothing. If the problem can wait, we say so. If it cannot, we explain why. You are never pressured to decide on the spot.

4. Scheduling

Once you approve the quote, we agree a start date that works for you. We arrange scaffold through Nottingham City Council where pavement permits are needed on narrow streets like Alfreton Road, Mansfield Road or the terraces in Hyson Green and Lenton. We coordinate skip placement and notify neighbours. You receive a confirmation with the exact start date and estimated duration.

5. The Work

Our team arrives on time, sets up containment sheeting below the work area, and begins. We use stainless steel fixings, trade-grade sealants, and materials specified for Nottingham conditions. If we find additional problems during the work, we photograph them, explain them, and get your approval before proceeding. The quoted price is the price you pay unless you authorise extras. Your property is weathertight every evening throughout the project.

6. Cleanup and Sign-Off

We clear all materials, debris and packaging. The skip is collected. Scaffold is dismantled within 48 hours of completion. We walk you through the completed work, show you photographs of what was done, and answer any questions. You receive a completion certificate, your 10-year written workmanship guarantee, and manufacturer warranty documentation for all materials.

7. Aftercare

We check back after the next heavy rain to confirm the work is holding. No charge, no appointment needed. If a fault appears in covered work during the 10-year guarantee period, we come back and put it right at no cost to you. Our contact details do not change. We will still be here when you need us.

Your Protection

10-year written workmanship guarantee on all work. Materials carry separate manufacturer warranties of 15-30 years depending on the product. NFRC registered with £5 million public liability insurance. The guarantee is dated, written, and transferable if you sell the property. If a fault appears in covered work during the guarantee period, we come back and put it right at no cost.
